In line with its renewed vision for peace, unity, and inclusiveness, the Delta State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has set up a Peace and Reconciliation Committee.
The move, approved by the State Chairman, Comr. Sagboje Odiri Milton CLN, is designed to heal divisions, strengthen bonds, and create a more united youth front in Delta State.
Announcing the development, the State Secretary, Comr. Micheal Chukwuemeke Onyimah said the initiative reflects the leadership’s commitment to peacebuilding and collaboration in line with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda.
The Committee will be chaired by Comr. Destiny Norishegho, with Dr. Paul Enueme serving as Vice Chairman and Comr. Tomi Akporoghene Wojuola as Secretary. Other members include Comr. Sam Akpojotor, Sir Emmanuel Akpule, Comr. Engr. Yobo Ideh, Comr. Oliver Eyefia, Comr. Christian Izegede, and Hon. Patrick Obegba.
Advisers to the Committee are Chief Felix Ekure (Delta Central), Comr. Ezekiel Diba (Delta North), and Comr. Wilson Ikioya (Delta South).
The Committee’s Terms of Reference (ToR) are to engage with aggrieved persons and groups, propose recommendations to foster inclusiveness, and develop strategies for dispute prevention and management.
With this Committee, NYCN Delta is charting a new course where every voice matters, and every youth has a place in shaping the future of Delta state.
